Siemens Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“Siemens Malaysia”) recently acquired the entire shareholding in its associated company, Meditel Electronics Sdn Bhd (“Meditel”), the market leader of state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment and services in the country. The strategy will pave the way for Siemens medical equipment and services to gain even more market share in the Healthcare sector. Mr Rainer Althoff, President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Malaysia, was present at the first joint meeting with Meditel Electronics employees. “Healthcare is one of the most im-portant sectors in our growing and increasingly urbanized society; therefore this acquisition is a strategic move to meet the needs of tomorrow. Providing integrated healthcare solutions in the form of equipment and IT-solutions will add even greater value to our customers,” said Mr Althoff.
